French LNG containment specialist GTT confirmed Thursday it received an order from the Korean shipyard Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries for the tank design of two new 174,000-cbm liquefied natural gas carriers.

These units will be built on behalf of the Greek shipper Consolidated Marine Management (CMM).

The vessels’ delivery are scheduled between the first and the third quarter of 2021.

The LNG tanks of the vessels will be equipped with the Mark III Flex containment system developed by GTT.

Hyundai Samho, a unit of Hyundai Heavy Industries, said recently that the order for the two LNG tankers is valued at $370 million.
