Subsea 7 said it has been awarded a contract by Shell for the Shearwater Fulmar Gas Line (FGL) Re-Plumb Project, located some 225 kilometers east of Aberdeen.
The contract value is said to be between $50 – $150 million.
The engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) project workscope incorporates a 37-kilometer 24-inch export line, a 14-inch rigid riser, control jumper, subsea structures and associated subsea tie-ins.
Project management, engineering and procurement work has already started in Aberdeen, with support from Subsea 7’s office in Glasgow, both in the UK.
Offshore activities are scheduled for 2019.

Earlier this month, Shell, together with partners Esso and Arco British (BP), announced the final investment decision (FID) for a Shearwater gas infrastructure hub in the central North Sea. The announcement marks the seventh FID for Shell in the UK North Sea in 2018.
