Chevron-led Angola LNG project has resumed with the production of liquefied natural gas from its Soyo facility following a shutdown.
Angola LNG spokeswoman told LNG World News the shutdown took place due to a ‘minor intervention’, without providing further detail.
No timeline was given for the loading of the next LNG cargo following the resumption of operations.
Citing sources, Reuters reports the first cargo could be loaded later this month or early January, however, no tender has been issued by Angola LNG so far in December.
Angola LNG is a joint venture between Chevron (36.4%), Sonangol (22.8%), BP (13.6%), Eni (13.6%), and Total (13.6%) and has the capacity to produce 5.2 million tons per year at its facility in Soyo.
