Leask Marine has been performing a regime of maintenance & servicing operations with Magallanes Renovables engineering team on the ATIR tidal device.

The ATIR tidal turbine was set up at the EMEC site in Orkney in September 2018 , having tested a previous version of their technology in Scotland back in 2014.

The maintenance work was carried out by the Leask Marine engineering team, MV C-Odyssey vessel crew and civils diving team.

These works are all in preparation for the final commission of the company’s 2MW floating tidal energy platform which is anticipated to be deployed at the Fall of Warness site as part of the Horizon2020 funded OCEAN_2G project in 2019.
