Orkney-based contractor Green Marine has recently supported offshore operations at the Meygen tidal project in the Pentland Firth.
Simec Atlantis Energy successfully redeployed two of the 1.5MW tidal turbines in challenging winter conditions.
The first two 1.5MW MeyGen turbines were returned to service in the array back in October 2018 .
Following completion of its inspection and maintenance programme the array was brought to its full installed capacity.
“ This operation along with previous offshore operations further strengthens the relationship with Simec Atlantis Energy and Green Marine and clearly demonstrates tidal energy projects can be serviced all year round ,” the company said.
