Australian marine engineering design company Incat Crowther said the Lita Ocean shipyard delivered a monohull crewboat, Summit PSA 5 to PSA Marine.
The vessel will be used by the Singapore-based PSA Marine to transport both personnel and light cargo to and from a floating storage regasification unit (FSRU).
PSA Marine, through its unit PSA Marine Bangladesh has secured a 15-year deal for Summit Power International to support LNG carriers calling at the Summit LNG FSRU terminal in Moheskhali, Bangladesh.
Under the contract awarded in January 2018, PSA Marine’s unit will provide berthing, mooring, pilot and personnel transfer services to LNG ships calling at Summit LNG FSRU terminal, with its three escort tugboats, one fast crew boat and one offshore supply vessel.
According to SPI, the operations under the contract are expected to start in early 2019.
