Indonesia has set its sights on exporting a total of 185 cargoes of liquefied natural gas from its Tangguh and Bontang LNG export projects during the year 2019.
The target has been set below the 203 cargoes that have been exported in 2018, Reuters reports citing Parulian Sihotang the chief financial office at the country’s upstream oil and gas regulator SKK Migas.
The total number of cargoes to be produced and exported has been pegged down from the 2018 figures.
Bontang LNG facility operated by Badak LNG, a company formed by Pertamina, VICO, Japan Indonesia LNG and Total, is set to export 93 cargoes of the chilled fuel. This is 25 cargoes less than in 2018.
The facility will produce a total of 132 cargoes, dropping from 150 in 2018.
The BP-operated Tangguh LNG facility is set to produce a total of 120 cargoes, the same as in 2018, however, the number of cargoes to be exported has been pushed up from 85 in 2018 to 92 cargoes of the chilled fuel in 2019.
Sihotang noted that nine cargoes from Botang LNG facility and seven from the Tangguh LNG plant remain uncommitted for 2019.
