Belgium books Qatari LNG cargo

The Fluxys-operated Zeebrugge liquefied natural gas terminal in Belgium booked a cargo of LNG from Qatar.

The Fluxys-operated Zeebrugge liquefied natural gas terminal in Belgium booked a cargo of LNG from Qatar.

According to the shipping data, Onaiza LNG carrier, with a capacity of 210,000 cubic meters, is scheduled to arrive at the facility on January 24.

This will be the third unloading in January at the facility with all cargoes coming from Qatar.

Fluxys, the terminal operator recently noted the year 2018 saw a jump in activity with a total 76 operations carried out, the highest level on record since commissioning in 1987.

The company also reported a 126 percent jump in the volumes of regasified LNG that was transmitted to the Fluxys Belgium’s network. Volumes totaled 26.8 TWh (2.4 bcm), which compares to 11.9 TWh in 2017.
