Cottrell Contracting Corporation, from Chesapeake, Virginia, has won a $12.7 million contract for maintenance dredging operations in Georgia and South Carolina.

Bids were solicited via the internet with one received, according to the latest U.S. Department of Defense’s (DoD) release.

Work will be performed in Jekyll Island, Georgia, and Daufuskie Island, South Carolina, with an estimated completion date of August 2, 2019.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, is the contracting activity.

Established in 1928, Cottrell Contracting, Inc. has a long history of infrastructure dredging along the eastern seaboard.
