Exports of liquefied natural gas from LNG facilities in the United States decreased for the second week in a row.
Data from the United States Energy Information Administration shows that during the week ending January 23, six LNG vessels with a combined LNG-carrying capacity of 21.6 billion cubic feet, departed U.S. LNG facilities.
This compares to a total of eight LNG cargoes during the previous week, which adds up to 28.4 Bcf in volume.
Out of the six vessels, four were loaded at Cheniere’s Sabine Pass LNG facility with one from its Corpus Christi and one from Dominion’s Cove Point LNG facility, each.
Two vessels were loading at the Sabine Pass terminal on Wednesday EIA notes.
The data also shows that average daily pipeline supplies of natural gas to the LNG facilities dropped from 4.8 Bcf/d in the previous week to 3.8 Bcf/d, during the week under review.
