Proserv Boosts Norway Subsea Team with New CTO

Proserv has promoted Tore Erntsen to the position of chief technology officer (CTO), Subsea Controls, based at the firm’s Trondheim facility in Norway.

Prior to taking on his new role, Tore was vice president, engineering and technology, within the subsea team.

Tore joined Proserv in 2012 when the firm took over the subsea controls business of Weatherford.

Iain Smith , president of Subsea Controls, said: “ Alongside his senior role within Subsea Controls, and his contribution to our strategic planning with Davis Larssen, our chief strategy officer, Tore’s technological focus provides a backbone of our company’s direction and accelerates our pace of change .”

Speaking after his promotion, Tore Erntsen , said: “ I am delighted to undertake this new role, to continue to drive forwards Proserv’s R&D activities and to lay down the firm’s technology roadmap. One of my key goals is to work with our team to see more innovative prototypes emerge in the commercial market as products that can really make a difference to our clients .”
