Royal IHC will next week hold a presentation about the world’s first LNG-powered dredgers at the 2nd Hydraulic Engineering Structures and Dredging Congress in Moscow.

Established in 1642, IHC supplied more than 200 dredgers to its clients during the recent 5 year.

In 2017, the company delivered trailing suction hopper dredgers (TSHD) Scheldt River (8,000m³) and Minerva (3,500m³), both operating on LNG.

Royal IHC is currently completing the construction of TSHD Bonny River (15,000m³) that will run on LNG and the world’s most powerful cutter suction dredger Spartacus (44.180 kW), also powered by LNG.

The 2nd Hydraulic Engineering Structures and Dredging Congress will be held on 20 – 21 February 2019, at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.

The Congress will include the 6th International Dredging Forum and the 2nd Technical Conference “ Modern Solutions for Hydraulic Engineering “.

The Congress is organized by Russia’s leading maritime industry media group PortNews and FSUE Rosmorport.
