At Gansbaai in South Africa, the town’s fishing port badly needed maintenance dredging.
Local contractor, Guerrini Marine Construction used their pontoon-based wire crane to maneuver a Damen DOP150.
The DOP150 was lowered to the sea bed, and with the 8-bar jet water pressure the pump crated its own mining pit.
The DOP submersible dredge pump is a practical dredging tool, made for a continuous high concentration mixture production with minimal impact for the job sites surroundings.
