The Government of Western Australia has announced more than $1.6 million in funding for projects that help manage WA’s world-renowned coastline.
Coastal Adaptation and Protection (CAP) grants fund projects that identify and adapt to coastal hazards:
Commenting the latest news, Transport and Planning Minister, Rita Saffioti , said: “With the State Government’s support, local governments and coastal groups are able to manage regionally specific issues and make informed decisions towards sustainable development, tourism and recreation.”
“More than $16 million in State funding has been invested through these coastal grant programs since their inception.”
According to their official Government’s announcement, suitable projects could include developing coastal hazard risk management and adaptation plans, monitoring, asset management, and on-ground activities.
