Rotech Subsea has signed a frame agreement to become excavation provider for DeepOcean RECONNECT.
DeepOcean has established RECONNECT to provide cable repair service – as well as providing periodic inspection and monitoring of cable integrity – to reduce the likelihood, time and cost associated with repairing or replacing subsea power cables.
The frame agreement will see Rotech Subsea become external excavation services provider for DeepOcean RECONNECT. The companies are also currently exploring how they might work together on further opportunities worldwide.
Rotech’s director of Subsea, Stephen Cochrane , said: “ We are delighted to be working with DeepOcean as excavation services provider for RECONNECT. The frame agreement is recognition of Rotech Subsea as the leader in non-contact trenching with our patented Controlled Flow Excavation (CFE) technology, which is backed up by a track record of successfully completing over 530 projects worldwide since 1994 .”
