Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands (PLOCAN) has hosted a visit from the students of Swedish maritime school Marina Läroverket.

The visit of students is part of their training course on board of the ship school Älva in Canarian waters.

The students, accompanied by their teacher, were informed in detail about the facilities of PLOCAN: the multi-purpose offshore platform, the test site and the observatory.

Furthermore, they were able to discover the specific characteristics and the operating modes of the gliders.

Marina Läroverket is a school with its headquarters in Stocksund Port, Stockholm, which provides Secondary and Adult education, as well as independent courses available on demand, related to oceanography, marine biology, geology and marine technologies, among others, which are mainly based on fieldwork aboard its ship school fleet.
