French LNG containment specialist GTT has received an order from Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) for a tank design on a new 174,000-cubic meter LNG carrier.

GTT said on Tuesday that the order by HHI was made on behalf of Greek ship-owner Capital Gas Carriers, owned by Greek shipowner Evangelos Marinakis.

The company added that it would design the tanks of the vessel, which would be fitted with the Mark III Flex membrane containment system.

According to GTT, the delivery of the ship is planned during the third quarter of 2021. Financial or any other details regarding the deal were left undisclosed.
