GasLog names LNG pair at Samsung Heavy

Monaco-based LNG shipper GasLog named a couple of its newbuild liquefied natural gas tankers at the Samsung Heavy Industries shipyard in South Korea.

Monaco-based LNG shipper GasLog named a couple of its newbuild liquefied natural gas tankers at the Samsung Heavy Industries shipyard in South Korea.

In a brief social media statement, GasLog said the two vessels have been named the GasLog Gladstone and the GasLog Warsaw.

The GasLog Gladstone, with the capacity to transport 174,000 cubic meters of the chilled fuel has also been delivered to its owner by the shipyard, and is set to start its long-term charter with Shell.

The GasLog Warsaw has the capacity to transport 180,000 cubic meters of LNG.

GasLog’s fleet currently counts 34 LNG carriers with 25 vessels on the water and 9 on order.
