Eidesvik has been awarded a contract for the subsea construction vessel Viking Neptun with Ocean Installer.

The charter is for a period exceeding two months with further options.

The work is scheduled to begin in Q3 2019, the company said in its Oslo Exchange announcement.

The Norwegian subsea contractor, Ocean Installer, already booked Viking Neptun in December last year for the campaigns set to start early 2020 and 2021 respectively.

The commercial terms of the new contract have not been disclosed.

Since September 2018, the Viking Neptun has been on a firm five-month contract plus options with Merkur Offshore , carrying out support work in the offshore wind market.
