Bombora Wave Power Europe has issued a new tender call in order to appoint a contractor for the supply of a rubber membrane for the mWave wave energy converter.

The rubber membrane is a key component of the mWave. It captures hydrostatic energy from the waves and coverts it to pneumatic energy, the company explained.

Five rubber membranes will be required, with approximate dimensions of 16.5 meters length, 5.5 meters width and a mass of 4 tons. All rubber membranes should be delivered to Pembroke Dock.

To remind, the demo Wave Energy Converter project is to be installed off the coast of Pembrokeshire, South Wales.

Deadline for submission of tenders is April 26, 2019, with estimated contract award date on May 8, same year.
