ICBC Financial Leasing has ordered four Kamsarmax bulk carriers in China, brokers reported.
The Chinese corporation placed an order for firm 81,200 dwt bulker quartet at COSCO Yangzhou, according to information provided by Intermodal Shipbrokers.
ICBC Leasing will pay around USD 27 million for each of the newbuilds.
The 97,000 cbm ships are scheduled for delivery in 2020. Once completed, they will feature a length of 229 meters and a width of 32.3 meters.
Separately, ICBC Leasing ordered five 2,200 TEU containerships in March this year, VesselsValue’s data shows. The vessels, to be built at Jiangnan Shanghai Changxing Heavy Industry in China, are expected to be delivered in 2020 and 2021.
