FMGS Supports Guinard Energies Tidal Turbine Project

FMGC, the casting subsidiary of Farinia Group, has supplied three sets of gravity base ballast and one gravity anchor for the Guinard Energies tidal turbine project.

Guinard Energies recently submerged its latest tidal turbine , the 20kW P154, in the waters of Ria d’Etel around Brest in Brittany.

The 100% made in France turbine is part of the MegaWattBlue project, a hybrid system, including tidal and solar mechanisms coupled with storage system.

MegaWattBlue project is co-financed by Guinard Energies, the Brittany Region and the ERDF (European Regional Development Fund).

“Our team is really proud with its participation at this pioneer project” FMGC said.
