Shipowning and operating company K Line Offshore AS has sold one of its platform supply vessels to Gard Supply AS.

K Line said that a protocol of delivery and acceptance was signed on April 25 and KL Arendalfjord vessel was delivered to Gard Supply in Tønsberg, Norway.

The KL Arendalfjord PSV was delivered from Vard, Brevik, in 2004 and acquired through a long-term bareboat charter by K Line in 2009. The vessel is of a UT755L type with a deck area of 680 square meters.

The vessel was bought a short time before the company got four PSVs of a 06CD design and a deck area of 1,100 square meters, also built by Vard.

The vessel’s final significant contract was secured in 2010 . It was a term contract with Petrobras in Brazil which lasted for five years.

After expiry of the contract, the vessel sailed back to the North Sea and, due to the significant drop in market activity, the vessel went to lay-up in Porsgrunn in the winter of 2016 and continued the lay-up until the sale to the new owner.
