French liquefied natural gas containment system specialist, GTT has been contracted to provide tank design for a pair of Maran Gas newbuilds.
GTT said in a statement that the two liquefied natural gas carriers for the Greek shipowner are being built at South Korea’s Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME).
The two vessels will have the capacity to transport 174,000 cubic meters of the chilled fuel each.
GTT noted that the delivery of the pair is scheduled for the first half of 2021.
