Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy has extended the charter of Eidesvik’s vessel Acergy Viking by one additional year.

The new firm period will end January 2022, with options thereafter.

The Acergy Viking has been on Siemens Gamesa duty for a few years, with previous extension until January 2021.

“ We are very pleased with the good cooperation established with Siemens Gamesa, and we look forward to continuing our service deliveries to them ,” says CEO Jan Fredrik Meling .

Prior to its renewables campaign, the vessel was used for survey work, but after remodeling it was converted into a so-called wind farm support/light construction vessel.
