Reservoir stimulation technology provider Fishbones has appointed Lars-Tore Berg as its chief technology officer and also increased its staff base by 25%.

Following successful new projects in Qatar, Egypt and China, the seven new hires will be based across the company’s sales and R&D teams and will include field engineers and logistics coordinators.

Joining from CannSeal, Lars-Tore Berg started in May. His focus will be on quality management and improving efficiencies. A key part of this will be developing the company’s international growth strategy.

Fishbones’ chief executive officer, Eirik Renli, said: “ Fishbones is a results driven company so investing in talent is crucial. The last twelve months have been especially important to us as we have secured new and recurring clients, and we look forward to building on this success.

“With a clear passion and energy for bringing innovation to the forefront, welcoming Lars-Tore to the team is an important next step for us as we look to expand to new international markets and further share our unrivalled technology with the industry .”

Lars-Tore Berg is a specialist in well intervention with over 30 years’ experience. Berg has worked at Baker Hughes, Altus Intervention, Cameron and, most recently, as CEO at CannSeal.
