French LNG operator Elengy named Sandra Roche-Vu Quang as its CEO, succeeding Laurence Borie-Bancel, who has been appointed to other positions within its parent company Engie.
Elengy, a subsidiary of GRTgaz, belongs to the scope of gas infrastructures in France supervised by Didier Holleaux, Engie group executive vice president.
Before joining the group, Roche-Vu Quang held various managerial positions in oil and gas projects for multinational engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) companies (Technip, Sofregaz, Saipem), in several countries (West Africa, North Sea, Gulf of Mexico, China) and different sectors, particularly in upstream onshore/offshore activities and regasification of liquefied natural gas (LNG), Elengy said in its statement.
She joined GDF SUEZ Group in 2006 as director of operations of Degrémont Industry, a turnkey industrial water treatment plants unit. She worked as deputy vice president projects for GDF SUEZ Exploration & Production.
Later appointed senior vice president for New Gas, she worked during two years defining and promoting the group’s medium and long-term Green Gas strategies (biogas, hydrogen, etc.).
Since January 2018, Sandra Roche-Vu Quang was chief business development officer for North, South and Eastern Europe business unit, also in charge of developing and managing activities in new regions and countries (Russia, Ukraine and Nordic countries).
She is a member of Storengy SAS strategic committee and the board of directors of Storengy Deutschland and IFP School.
