The first external platform produced by Energomontaż-Północ Gdynia (EPG) for the 731.5MW Borssele 3 & 4 wind farm is ready for final outfitting, the Polish manufacturer said.
In total, EPG will manufacture and deliver 76 external platforms for the project in the Dutch North Sea.
The Borssele 3 & 4 wind farm is being developed by the Blauwwind consortium comprising Partners Group (45%), Shell (20%), DGE (15%), Eneco Group (10%) and Van Oord (10%).
The project will feature 77 MHI Vestas 9.5MW wind turbines installed some 22km offshore Zeeland and scheduled to be operational in 2021.
The turbines will be installed on monopile foundations without transition pieces which will be delivered by Sif.
