Fluxys LNG said the subscription window for the unloading slots and additional storage services at the Zeebrugge LNG raised significant interest by the market participants.

The company said that the window that was open from April 30 to May 24 gathered sufficient interest for Fluxys LNG to submit required regulatory documents to the Belgian federal energy regulator CREG.

During the subscription window, Fluxys LNG offered unloading slots and additional storage services at the Zeebrugge LNG terminal over subsequent periods up to 2044, the company’s statement reads.

In parallel, a market consultation was organized inviting the market to comment on the proposed LNG services agreement and tariffs for the services offered.

The level of capacity for which the market has shown interest allows the process to be brought forward, Fluxys LNg said.

“Taking into account the comments received through the market consultation, Fluxys LNG will now submit to Belgian federal energy regulator CREG a tariff proposal and an LNG services agreement proposal for the services requested,” the statement reads.

The process of allocating the services will proceed upon approval of the regulatory documents.
