Maintenance dredging of the Rosslyn Bay Harbor is set to begin next month, according to the Member for Keppel and Assistant Education Minister Brittany Lauga.

“ The Palaszczuk Government is delivering on its election commitment to invest in boating infrastructure across Central Queensland and the state, thanks to the $30 million Marine Infrastructure Fund ,” Mrs Lauga said.

She also added that over 22,000 cubic meters of spoil will be removed from Rosslyn Bay Harbor next month when the Palaszczuk Government begins the dredging works.

Mrs Lauga continued by saying that the Queensland-based Hall Contracting will remove silt and other materials from the area, providing greater access for deeper draft vessels to the popular harbor.

Dredging of the harbor will take place at the entrance channel and some internal channels.

Officials expect the whole project will take three months to complete, weather permitting.
