Mexican oil and gas company Pemex has reportedly chartered the Uxpanapa jack-up drilling rig.

Norwegian rig broker Bassoe Offshore has reported that Pemex has chartered the 2016-built jack-up on a two-year contract.

Bassoe Offshore estimates the dayrate to be around $75.000. According to Bassoe, the rig is expected to start its contract around July 10.

The rig was delivered three years ago by Keppel AmFels to the owner Perforadora Central. Bassoe data shows that the rig is managed by the Mexican company Marinsa.

Offshore Energy Today has reached out to Pemex, seeking confirmation and more details. We will update the article if we get any response.

Pemex last week said it planned to drill 50 exploration wells in 2019 in total.
