Teekay LNG Partners, one of the world’s largest owners of LNG carriers, has made changes to its board of directors, effective immediately.

Teekay LNG said on Wednesday that Alan Semple , David Schellenberg , Richard Paterson , and Sylvia Barnes would be joining the board while current director Kenneth Hvid would become the chairman of the board.

It is also worth noting that Hvid is also the president and CEO of Teekay Corporation, the parent company of Teekay LNG.

Semple, Paterson, and Barnes will also serve on the company’s Audit Committee, which will be chaired by Semple.

Paterson and Barnes will also serve on the board’s Conflicts Committee, which will be chaired by Paterson. The duo will also serve on the board’s Governance Committee, with Barnes as the chairman.

In connection with these new appointments to the board, Ida Jane Hinkley , Joseph McKechnie , and Beverlee Park stepped down from the board, also effective on May 29.

Director of Teekay GP, Teekay LNG general partner, William P. Utt will be stepping down from the board while Sean Day will remain on the board.
