Electromagnetic Geoservices (EMGS), a Norwegian geophysical services company, has given its interim chief executive officer a permanent role.
EMGS said on Friday that interim CEO Bjørn Petter Lindhom was named as the permanent CEO of the company.
Eystein Eriksrud , chairman of EMGS, stated: “The board of directors is very pleased with the strong positive developments in EMGS. […] the company has secured a number of important awards, including the LOA for a $73 million proprietary acquisition contract for Pemex and the $24 million acquisition contract in south-east Asia.
“The board of directors is very pleased to make Lindhom’s appointment permanent and look forward to continuing to work together with him and his management team.”
Lindhom was named as the interim CEO in October last year following the departure of Christiaan Vermeijden from the CEO role on December 31, 2018.
Lindhom took over as CEO on December 1, 2018. He started his career at Telenor and joined EMGS in 2003. He held a number of technical and commercial positions within the company’s global business, currently as business unit president for the North and South America region.
