Nor-Shipping 2019, one of the most important maritime events in the industry, has kicked off in Oslo, Norway with innovation and technology as key topics.

Taking place 4-7 June, the event is expected to gather around 35,000 delegates from over 75 countries, with close to 1,000 exhibiting companies, according to the event organizers.

Besides innovation and technology, the event will also cover the topics of unlocking the potential of renewables, unconventional fuels and decarbonization ahead of the entrance into force of the IMO 2020 sulphur cap.

The rise of smart technology, blockchain and digitalization across the board are also expected to take center stage at the event.

In addition, the week-long event will host a number of round table discussions, speeches and interactive debates.

World Maritime News team is attending this year’s event, and all those interested in a meeting for editorial or advertising matters can reach out to Jasmina Ovcina Mandra at jo@navingo.com.
