Eastern Solent Coastal Partnership – ESCP said in its latest announcement that the repair works along Cador Drive Seawall in Portchester, undertaken by Earlcoate Construction & Plant Hire Ltd, are currently underway.

This primary coastal defense scheme, conducted on behalf of Fareham Borough Council, will protect the residential estate from flooding and erosion.

The project started today and is set to last for approximately 2-3 weeks.

According to the official announcement, “working hours will be between 7am-7pm Monday-Friday. The working area and compound will be securely fenced off for the duration of the works, with the coastal footpath remaining open for public use.”

These works will be undertaken from both the beach area and crest of the seawall, said ESCP.
