Atlantis: MeyGen Exports 414MWh Electricity to Grid

SIMEC Atlantis Energy, a sustainable energy generation company, has informed that its tidal energy project MeyGen has exported a total of 414MWh of electricity last week. According to the company’s social media update, the electricity generation was achieved operating at an availability of over 99%

SIMEC Atlantis Energy, a sustainable energy generation company, has informed that its tidal energy project MeyGen has exported a total of 414MWh of electricity last week.

According to the company’s social media update, the electricity generation was achieved operating at an availability of over 99% through the spring tide.

In May this year the project exported over 15GWhrs to the grid.

The MeyGen project, one of the largest tidal stream projects in the world, formally entered the 25-year operations phase in April 2018.

The project is split into several phases.
