The environment plan by Australian operator Woodside for Julimar Phase 2 drilling and subsea installation offshore Western Australia is now under assessment with the Australian regulator.
Woodside submitted the plan to NOPSEMA on May 30, 2019.
Woodside plans to undertake several activities for the Julimar Development Phase 2.
These include drilling and developing four production wells, connected to a six-slot manifold (JULA), construction of an approximately 22 km production flowline and control umbilical extension between the JULA manifold and the existing Brunello Crossover Manifold (BRU-XOM).
In addition, the plan includes an installation and pre-commissioning of subsea hardware and flowline.
The petroleum activities program will be carried out using a moored semi-submersible MODU, pipelay vessel, installation vessels and a variety of support vessels, and is anticipated to start in 4Q 2019 and be completed in 2022.
The proposed activities are located within Production License WA-49-L, approximately 185 km offshore from Dampier on the north west coast of Western Australia, with the closest landfall being the Montebello Islands, approximately 48km to the south.
