energy3, Canada’s energy conference, has invited researchers to submit abstracts for both oral presentations and poster presentations outlining their research & development associated with energy related themes, including marine energy. energy3, Canada’s energy conference, has invited researchers to submit abstracts for both oral presentations and poster presentations outlining their research & development associated with energy related themes, including marine energy.

The event, scheduled for October this year, is being developed and hosted through a partnership between Marine Renewables Canada (MRC), The Maritimes Energy Association (MEA), and the Offshore Energy Research Association (OERA).

The organizers encourage abstracts from academia (both students and faculty), associations, companies, communities, governments, research associations, and any other institution with a passionate understanding or interest in any of our chosen energy related topics

Program Topics – Oral Presentations

Environmental Monitoring of Tidal Energy

Fish & Marine Mammal Interactions with TISEC Devices; Fish, Lobster, Marine Mammal & Seabird Monitoring; Marine Noise; Technologies & Techniques.

Program Topics – Poster Presentations

Marine Renewable Energy – Tidal, wave, offshore wind, run of river, genomics, hydrodynamic modelling, marine life environmental effects monitoring, subsea connections, and marine operations improvements such as ROV/AUVs, corrosion, biofouling, moorings, etc.

Abstracts must be submitted in PDF format only by July 22nd, 2019. Authors will be informed of acceptance of their extended abstract by August 1, 2019 and any associated peer review comments will be forwarded to the author.
