R.E. Staite Engineering Inc., from San Diego, has won a $7 million contract for maintenance dredging the Redwood City Harbor Channel in California.

Bids were solicited via the internet with two received, the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) said in its latest announcement.

The base contract work consists of maintenance dredging of the channel Reaches 1 to 5B, with removal of approximately 390,400m³ of dredged material and providing a contract depth of -30ft.

Under the agreement, all dredging material transportation and material placement should be in accordance with the project plans, specifications, permits, regulatory guidance and applicable contract clauses.

It is expected that this dredging project will be completed no later than October 9, 2019.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, San Francisco District, is the contracting activity.
