Xodus has joined industry representative body Scottish Renewables as a new member.

The Aberdeen-based engineering and advisory services provider has recently expanded its renewables capabilities with the addition of a dedicated advisory unit .

The advisory team will support lenders, developers and the wider supply chain to identify and capitalize on renewable energy opportunities and mitigate against risk.

Scott Hamilton has been appointed to lead the team, with a focus on due diligence, supply chain analysis and techno-economic analysis.

In May last year, Xodus signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Atlantis to pursue the development of a tidal energy project in Japan.

The agreement’s goal was to secure funding and establish a commercially viable tidal energy demonstration project of three to eight turbines in the country, according to Xodus.
