InterMoor has been awarded a contract to supply mooring equipment for the completion of a mooring integrity project in the North Sea.
The project will involve the change out of 12 mooring lines on the Alba floating storage unit (FSU) currently moored in the North Sea.
According to the company’s social media update, the mooring equipment supply contract involves the procurement and delivery of 12 of 127mm spiral strand wire ropes; 12 of 152mm x 27.5m chains; 12 of 140mm x 300m chains with 133mm studlink chain attached and all connecting links.
The overall weight of the equipment comes to a 3,135 Tonnes, the company noted.
The 125,000 dwt vessel will enable offshore loading of oil from Alba platform, on Block 16/26.
