The UK’s Dragon LNG terminal is scheduled to receive a Yamal LNG cargo of liquefied natural gas at the end of the week.

According to the Milford Haven Port Authority shipping data, 172.410-cbm Boris Vilkitsky Arc7 ice-class tanker built by the South Korean shipbuilder Daewoo Shipbuilding Marine Engineering (DSME), is scheduled to dock at the terminal’s jetty on June 5.

The LNG carrier chartered by the French energy giant Total will be the first to deliver a cargo to the Dragon LNG terminal in May.

The terminal at Waterston, Milford Haven in Pembrokeshire, is owned by Shell (50 percent) and the London-based independent infrastructure investment manager, Ancala Partners that recently acquired a 50 percent stake in the facility from Petronas.

The facility has a maximum gas send out rate to the NTS of 7.6 billion cubic meters of gas per annum. The terminal can supply up to 10 percent of the UK’s energy needs.
