COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry has secured a shipbuilding order for two Aframax tankers from UK-based ship owner and operator Union Maritime.
The vessels, that will have a length of 250 meters and a width of 44 meters, would be built at CSHI’s Zhoushan Shipyard.
The deal, signed on July 10, includes options for two more tankers featuring 113,000 dwt.
The parties did not reveal any financial details of the order.
Data provided by Asiasis shows that the first ship from the batch is scheduled for delivery by the end of 2020.
