The scope of maintenance dredging performed by FSUE Rosmorport in 2019 will total approximately 10 million cbm, Andrey Lavrishchev, General Director of FSUE Rosmorport, told journalist during an interview.

This figure includes maintenance dredging to be held in the ports of Astrakhan, Taganrog, Arkhangelsk, etc. and capital dredging in the southern part of Ust-Luga port – 850,000 cbm. There is also a plan to complete dredging in Sabetta port.

According to General Director of Rosmorport, the company has no plans to start dredging on the Northern Sea Route after 2019, but will consider participation in a competition if it is announced by Rosatom.

The company also announced that Rosmorport’s own resources will cover about 70% of dredging works in 2019.

“ With the expansion of our own dredging fleet we succeeded in keeping the cost of dredging services in Russia. Meanwhile, our usual subcontractors hardly invested in modernization of their dredging fleet having reduced their footprint in the dredging market ”, commented Andrey Lavrishchev.
