Neptune Energy has started its first subsea installation and construction campaign on the Duva field with the installation of the Integrated Template Structure (ITS), in the North Sea offshore Norway.
According to company’s social media update, the ITS is the first large scale piece of fabrication work to be completed for the Neptune Energy-operated Duva oil and gas field.
Neptune Energy Norge’s managing director Odin Estensen , said: “By installing the ITS now, we are on track for undertaking drilling later this year, leaving us well positioned to reach first oil in the fourth quarter of 2020.”
The plan for development and operation (PDO) of the Duva field was submitted on behalf of the Duva partnership, which consists of Idemitsu Petroleum Norge (30%), Pandion Energy (20%), Wellesley Petroleum (20%) and Neptune Energy (30% ) in February of this year.
Norwegian authorities approved the development plan in June 2019.
Developed with a four-slot subsea template, the Duva field will be tied back to the Gjøa platform for processing and export. The field will have three production wells, two oil producers and one gas producer, with the potential for an additional oil well.
Duva’s recoverable resources are estimated to be 88 million boe and it’s expected to yield around 30,000 boe per day at maximum production.
