Norwegian LNG transportation provider Awilco agreed and signed a term sheet for the financing of its two liquefied natural gas carriers with an Asia-based company.

Awilco noted in its statement that the refinancing for the two 2013-built 156,000-cbm TFDEs WilForce and WilPride, has been structured as a sale/leaseback similar to the current financing of the vessels.

The deal also enables a full take out of the sale/leaseback facilities maturing December 31, 2019, Awilco’s statement reads.

The facility is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2019 subject to final credit approval.
