Former MOL Group’s accounting and reporting manager has joined Deloitte as an audit director.
Deloitte said that Sarah McGavin rejoined the firm as an audit director following a four-year spell with Hungarian oil and gas company MOL.
The announcement is the latest in a series of senior hires and promotions within Deloitte’s team in Scotland.
In June, Deloitte announced Tim Corfield’s appointment to partner in Glasgow, the fourth partner promotion in Scotland over the last 12 months, along with three new director promotions.
It is worth stating that McGavin was a senior audit manager with Deloitte during an extensive previous career with the firm.
Regarding her appointment, McGavin said: “My recent position with MOL Group has given me a deeper understanding, and different perspective on the many changes affecting audit and assurance as well as the challenges organizations are increasingly facing.”
Graham Hollis , office senior partner for Deloitte in Aberdeen, who also leads the firm’s Upstream Oil & Gas audit and advisory practice in Scotland, added: “Her extensive audit experience coupled with the industry knowledge gained from her time working in the oil and gas sector will be hugely beneficial to Deloitte’s service offering in Aberdeen.”
