EDS HV Completes Hohe See Cable Gig

EDS HV Group has completed cable installation, termination and testing work at the EnBW Hohe See offshore wind farm in Germany.

The work was carried out as part of a contract with Zhongtian Technology Submarine Cable (ZTT) signed at the beginning of last year.

Back in March 2017, ZTT won a contract by TenneT to supply and construct a 155kV HVAC grid connection between Hohe See and the 900MW BorWin3 grid connection system, which was recently commissioned .

Hohe See comprises 71 Siemens Gamesa 7MW turbines located some 95km north of Borkum and 100km northwest of Helgoland. The 497MW project delivered first power to the German grid in mid-July.
