James Fisher Marine Services (JFMS) has appointed Dr Jennie Kevis-Stirling as its survey & UXO manager.

Taking up the role with more than 15 years specialist experience in the survey industry, Dr Kevis-Stirling has previously worked with academic oceanographic institutions in the United States, before developing her specialism for marine geohazards and survey with Fugro.

She was also behind the transformation of local industry body East of England Energy Group (EEEGR), before spending the last two years with JFMS promoting and developing its subsea business.

Barry Jennings , managing director of JFMS, said: “It is always great to promote within and even better when we can match a role to someone’s clear passion and experience. I am confident that Jennie will be a great success and has my full support. It’s important to identify any ways we can enhance our services, including UXO and subsea, to meet the needs of customers.”

In her new role, Dr Kevis-Stirling will be instrumental in the delivery of new business in the renewables and construction sectors, as well as further expanding the integrated survey service with ROV and dive provision. This includes supporting tendering efforts, while collaborating with other departments to streamline all subsea activities.

Dr Jennie Kevis-Stirling , survey and UXO manager of JFMS, said: “I am looking forward to shaping the direction of future survey activities for JFMS, and to be part of the exciting growth that JFMS is experiencing. I am confident that my knowledge and experience will help me to enhance an already strong market offer and to deliver the strategic results required for long-term success.”

Dr Kevis-Stirling will lead all survey activities, driving forward the innovation across survey products, services and technology, and will play a key part in accelerating the business beyond its next level of growth and development, the company noted.
