Samsung Heavy scores LNG carrier order

South Korean shipbuilder Samsung Heavy Industries said it has secured an order for a liquefied natural gas carrier.

South Korean shipbuilder Samsung Heavy Industries said it has secured an order for a liquefied natural gas carrier.

According to the company’s stock exchange notice, the vessel has been ordered by an unnamed Asian owner.

The order has been valued at 225.5 billion South Korean won ($186.2 million), the filing reads.

Samsung Heavy Industries noted that the vessel is scheduled for delivery in October 2021.
